GRAY DAVIS RECALL, CALIFORNIA - 2003 - OVERCOMING A PETITION BLOCKING CAMPAIGN
 

• Principals were hired to qualify the historic Recall of the Governor of California, only the 2nd successful gubernatorial recall in U.S. history.
   

• The opposition waged a multi-million dollar blocking campaign against us whereby every major signature-gathering firm in the state was paid to block our petitioners and keep the Recall from qualifying.
   

• We replaced all of the major coordinators in the state, who then hired thousands of independent circulators not under the control of the other companies.
   

• The blocking campaign believed that they were succeeding in causing the petition drive to fail.  When we announced to the press that we had a sufficient number of signatures to qualify for the ballot after only 8 weeks in the field, the opposition campaign, including the major signature-gathering firms, were shocked and stunned.
   

• The end result of the Recall Petition was the election of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Governor of California.
   

• Over twice as much was spent to block us as we were paid to get the Recall on the ballot.
